When signing up a customer or sales rep, why does the invitation email say “Your password is unchanged” instead of “Your temporary password is: xxxxxxxx”?
This means that the customer or sales rep is already set up to use the Now Commerce system with other vendors. For this reason, Now Commerce does not provide you with the temporary password.
What happens when a customer or sales rep is already set up to use the Now Commerce system with other vendors?
When directing customers or sales reps to your unique sign in page (provided by Now Commerce), they will be granted direct access to your portal.
If customers or sales reps sign in by going to https://portal.nowcommerce.com/signin.aspx, they will be prompted to select a vendor. Once they select a vendor, they will be granted access to the customer or sales rep portal for the selected vendor.
What can you do?
You may want to tell the customer or sales rep that they are already set up to use the Now Commerce system with another one of their vendors and can sign in using their current password. If they do not know their current password or the name of the other vendor(s), they can always click the “Forgot Password” link at the bottom of the sign in page. This will allow them to reset their password and access the portal.
Another option is to remove access to your portal for the current email address and re-invite the customer or sales rep using a different email address.
